It has been a wonderful adventure to Disney's world of make believe! It was a magical five days for all of us. By the third day of walking, dodging people and riding hair raising rides my body is ready for a rest. It is unimaginable how Disney is able to implement so many intricate rides and displays. We visited Disney's Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Magical Kingdom, Epcot and Downtown Disney. I received a few blisters on my feet and some sore muscles trying to keep up with the younger members of our group. It was nice to have Melanie along because she didn't mind waiting up for me while the others took off like rockets!
Not only were the parks great to visit, we had a great place to rest our heads. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House) where from our balconies we could view the giraffes, water buffalo, gazelles, antelope, and various African birds frolic around.
Even our travel was exciting. Flying to Orlando we got to circle around above for 30-40 minutes while a thunderstorm was located over the airport. Then on our return trip to Denver yesterday we circled around for over an hour and attempted to land once then aborted due to high tail winds and a rain. We finally got to land on a different runway. It was raining so hard you could hardly see out of the plane window. We even had to wait for our luggage to be delivered due to lightening. It just was a crazy event all around, but glad we made it safely. We got to Alliance at 10:30 pm and Jessamyn, Jay, and the boys still had to travel to Gordon (another 1 1/2 hrs.).
Enough for now, I will be resting and catching up here at home for a few days. Brian is doing better day by day from last chemo treatment. He just needs plenty of rest.
