It was Brian's birthday yesterday with 59 wishes being given for many more years and experiences to behold. Paqui, Zeyda, Jessamyn, Taylen, Jarret, Andrea and Joy all enjoyed breaking bread with the birthday boy. It was a hot, 100 degrees by the thermometer so Zeyda and Sunny decided to take a dip. We had fun eating and telling stories of old. Zeyda is quite a diva, don't you think?
Our good friend Julie and her Mom stopped by last Thursday night. She was intent on test driving our new Hustler and was trying to pop wheelies. She is in route to start her backpacking odyssey in the San Juan mountains, we wish her good luck on the hike!
Brian and Paqui are making preparations for their trip to CTCA this Thursday. I start my teaching my class tomorrow, so won't be able to go. Brian will be getting scans and tests done, and we are hopeful that the cancer is gone and he will not need more chemotherapy. Brian is doing somewhat better on the new pain medicine, but very fatigued most of the time.
Jessamyn is redoing my bathroom, texturizing and painting. It is her gift to Brian and I and bless her for it! The boys are here too and they help keep our spirits young. I will update you all next week with Brian's test results.
