Strange I have never really thought about how many decisions we all are required to make during a minute, a hour, a day, or week. It is seems endless and if I really think about it, quite overwhelming. That is where I am at these last few days. Having to make decisions at ever turn and honestly not having a clue about what decision is the best in many cases. I am flying by the seat of my pants, I must say. Yes, I call friends that I know that might have some expertise or even my accountant who can steer me in the right direction. Now I truly know the meaning of "My mind is in a muddle and I don't know why" which is right out of one of Brian's old songs. I can take solace in knowing there are family, friends and nice people like the clerk at the Box Butte Treasurers Office who will take the time to teach an old dog some new tricks.
One of the decisions I do ponder is how long to leave the pictures on the blog of Brian's celebration of life party. The pictures will remain up through this week and then I will reformat the blog. It is time to move forward in my blog and in my life. Hard as it might be, it is time to look ahead. Fortunately I have many friends and family who are keeping me busy with lunch dates, phone calls and emails. Next week a friend and I are taking a day trip to Scottsbluff to shop. Yes business as usual? No not quite yet, but soon I hope I will get use to the new silence and my own thoughts.

It's a spare page. Is that a sunrise from the Maine coast?
ReplyDeleteIt is a sunrise over Camden Maine; appropriate for a new beginning shot don't you think?
ReplyDeletePerfect!
ReplyDeletePrairie sunrises are still pretty fabulous and sunsets. (I saw a guy STANDING on his car to take one on 76 the other evening!) You are doing a great job Mary...keep going, you are an inspiration! L, V
