As We Honor Our Mothers

It was hard, don't let me kid you. Yesterday's Mother's Day celebration with my girls and they're families was bitter sweet. It was the first Mother's Day I have spent with out their father. However, as I look on to my grandchildren, the next generation, I find the suave that helps heal those open wounds left with the bereavement of my loved one. Solace is meeting each new challenge with God's helping hand.

Jessamyn and Jay invited Paqui, Zeyda, and I to Rushville to church with a buffet following with Jay's family. Poor Marc had to work. We topped the day off with a great game of golf at the Gordon Country Club. It was such a beautiful day!

Today I am heading to Chadron to get my new SUV fitted with a towing package. My neighbor Carol will be riding along for conversation and lunch. Tomorrow we vote here in Nebraska and I start some physical therapy for the tingling sciatic nerve problem in my leg. The doctor thought it might help to get some inflamation under control before the big knee surgery. Hopefully it will help.

Have a great week and if it quits freezing at night I might get some gardening in.
